Competitions

We want to uphold and maintain both quality and standards at Hollypark Stables and expect our rider to do the same for the good of all our customers. Please make yourself aware of the the rules and regulations that are in place surrounding the various aspects of our competitions.We want to ensure all safety standard will be upheld while competitions run in our facility.

Please read the following in order to familiarise yourself on the regulations we would appreciate our customers to uphold.

Time Keeping

Strict time-keeping measures must be obtained when competing. When entering into a competition, please be mindful of your time and the starters list as if you are late you will forfeit your opportunity to compete. It is the judges decision if you will be allowed to jump but this will mean that you will not be competing and will not gain points or prizes.

There will be information leaflets provided to each competitor regarding how our arenas work for easy use.

Warm up and Cooldown Arenas

There are a variety of warm up arenas located around our facility. All riders must warm up and cool down in the Figure 8 track with no time restrictions.

Each competition ring has a jumping warm-up which is exclusively for jumping. There will be a Time-Limit of 15 minutes for each rider prior to their competition time. Once you have completed your round you must return to the cool down arena located, once again, in the Figure 8 track.

Maintenance

We kindly ask everyone visiting Hollypark Stables to please respect all aspects of our facility. A huge amount of time and effort has been taken to ensure you have a great time with us. So, please be mindful that you must maintain clean and tidy standards during your time with us. All horse dropping must be cleaned up and all rubbish must be disposed of into the correct bin. Any breakages will be charged. All stables must maintain a tidy standard and must be fully-cleaned on departure, if not, it will also be charged to your account.

Abuse & bullying

We will not tolerate any kind of unsocial behaviour or bullying in our facilities and during our competitions all competitors, judges, stewards and customers alike. Complaints or objections must be presented to the office and a the decision will be made. Oral complaints will not be taken.

Waiver & Risk Advisory Notice

We acknowledge and agree that we understand the nature or horse riding and it’s associated activities and the inherent risk involved in these activities including participation in any shows, training or schooling at our venue.
If you are giving or organising a lesson, You are obliged to have up-to-date Insurance, First Aid, You are responsible for complying with the regulations.
We acknowledge and agree that we understand the associated activities will include loading, unloading, leading, washing, grooming, holding and all other activities that may arise from participation at the venue.
We understand and we accept the high risk involved in riding and competing in shows.
We understand and we accept that horse riding can result in serious injury or death.
We understand it is our responsibility to insure that safety clothing and equipment such as helmets, back protectors and footwear, as well as tack on the horse or pony is appropriate and up to standards and is worn when appropriate.
We confirm that we or the participant we are entering to partake at the venue is experienced, competent and in proper physical condition to participate.
We confirm that the animal that is being entered is suitable to partake in the activities and capable to compete at the level entered.
We accept that it is our responsibility to walk courses and familiarise ourselves with the protocols of the event or training.
Dogs or accompanying animals must be under the control of persons responsible at all times.
I acknowledge that I am also accepting the risk for ALL PARTIES, I bring with me or are associated with my participation at this venue.

By completing an entry/booking transaction, I am aware of the “Risk” involved in horse riding and the associated risks in handing an equine on the ground and have made the participant I am in charge of /or entering, aware of the risks and we acknowledge and accept the risk involved. If in charge of minors I will ensure they are supervised at all times. We agree we will not hold BICE LTD / hollypark stables ., or their agents, employees or any representative person responsible for any accident, damage, injury (including shock or distress) howsoever sustained which does not arise from a negligent act or omission of bice ltd / hollypark stables.
